Does my domain name and my web host have to be the same company?
No. It makes life easier if they are the same, but it is not necessary.
Can I register my own domain name, or do I have to use CCP?
Registration of a website domain name is very quick and easy. It is your choice. We can help you with it, or you may register your own domain.
We highly recommend using a registrant that has had a web presence for 5 years or more. Network Solutions is the oldest and most reputable. They began registrations in 1993.
CCP charges a one time $40 consultation fee for domain name selection and registration assistance.
Can I purchase my own hosting package, or must I go through CCP?
We recommend using a CCP web consultant when selecting a hosting package. Not all websites will work on all servers. Some require extra space and/or special database packages. CCP bills this at an hourly rate. A new site typically takes one-half hour.
Does CCP offer hosting packages?
CCP only offers hosting as a part of our Premium Web Package. We will assist you in purchasing hosting services based on the requirements of your site. There is a high level of mark up and fraud in this industry and we prefer to stay above board.
